If you read my articles on taking screen shots, then you would know how it is relatively easy to show your friends online what your ESO characters have been doing and also what they were wearing at the time.
Now this article is not about fashion parading or dressing up your Ken or Barby, but rather a thoughtful look at what you can do with your character to make heads turn as you glide on by.
There are two ways you can present your character.
The first is simply an expression of your progress through the game. That is to say, that your character wears the best clothing or armor they can for the level they have achieved. Now this depends on two things, the first is your progress, meaning the stronger you get, the better armor you can wear and the second thing is dependent on how much money you have accumulated because you can purchase some over clothing that will cover everything you are wearing.
However, as you move through the main quest and then beyond, you are awarded really good outfits that actually cost you nothing and they can go over and cover up your existing armor. This is very handy if you have a mixture of clothing that doesn’t look all that good, but affords you the protection that you need. You can cover it up with a really great free outfit. Well, when I say free, I actually mean a cover up outfit you have earned.
In addition to this, you are able to buy extra outfits (as mentioned earlier), and even color them with special dyes that you can purchase from the crown store. If this wasn’t enough, you are able to visit dye stations throughout the game and change the color of your standard outfit. As you progress through the game certain achievements unlock new dyes that you can apply to your outfits. So the variety of looks is limited only by your imagination and I’ll cover this a little later in another article.
In this article I am firstly going to describe the items that you get for free. You can discover these outfits on your “Collections Bar” under “Costumes.”
The first suit you get is the Golden Saint. You look like one of Sheogoraths dreaded Golden Saints. You must be level 20 to get this. You obtain notification that you have achieved this, but often because there is so much happening people often miss the first reward, so watch out for it.
The next is the Dark Seducer outfit. You acquire this when you reach 60 Championship points. The ladies look stunning in this and even top veterans are known to parade about in this gear.
The third is Mannimarco. One can sneer at lesser mortals in this suit that is an exact replica of the King of Worms. Acquired by reaching Championship level 100.The fourth one is the Imperial Chancellor. When a member of the Imperial Council must go to war, he or she dons the traditional armor of the Imperial Chancellor. This is acquired reaching level 160.
This however is just the beginning of some fantastic achievements that you get in the game.
To be condt….
